Here are a few of the things that we did...
August 27-29th, 2004 - Hershey Park
We went to Hershey Park for the Boy Scout Wildlife
Weekend. The weather was hot and humid but we saw no rain. We had the best
site in the whole campground thanks to Mike. Hershey Park was crowded but the boys
got in a lot of rides and had a great time.
June 12th, 2004 - Fluke Fishing Trip on the Rosie
Pack 244 took an evening fluke fishing trip on the Rosie (located at the Center Moriches
Center Yacht Club). It was a beautiful evening and everyone had a great time.

May 29nd and June 5th - Memorial Day Flag Placement and Removal at
Calverton
The boys participated in the annual flag placement at Calverton National Cemetary honoring
all the veterans who gave so much for all of us. Participating in this event
emphasizes the importance of this significant national holiday.
May 21st, 2004 - May Pack Night Moving Up Ceremony
We celebrated the end of another great cub scouting year and had our annual Moving Up
Ceremony for all the boys as they advance to the next rank in Cub Scouts. All the
boys and leaders did a great job this year and we look forward to seeing everyone again in
September!
May 1st, 2004 - Hallock Lane Cemetery Cleanup
Friday, April 16th, 2004 - Pinewood Derby - We had a
great race this year with some super fast cars taking the checkered flag. Full Race Results are now available.
Sunday, March 14th, 2004 - Rocky Point
St. Patrick's Day Parade - We had a float in the parade this
year thanks to Tom Swenson. The boys wrode the float had had a great time. For

Saturday, February 28th, 2004 - Blue
and Gold Dinner - We had a great turn-out and a fantastic dinner
filled with a fun DJ, a great magician and a successful auction. Pictures coming
soon.
Sunday, February 8th, 2004 - Scouting
Sunday - We had a good turnout at the 10:00 am mass at St. Anthony's
and saw the Jr. Webelos receive their religious awards.
Sunday, February 8th, 2004 - Monster
Truck Show - We saw (and heard) all the crashing, crunching and
crushing as the 10,000 pound monster trucks shook the Nassau Coliseum. [Check out the pictures here]
Friday, January 23th, 2004 - January
Pack Night: Movie Night After rescheduling due to a snow day on the
16th and then overcoming some technical difficulties with the DVD the night of the movie,
we finally all saw "Home Alone" and enjoyed popcorn and cotton candy.
Everyone seemed to really enjoy the evening so we'll have to do it again next year.
Friday, December 19th, 2003 - December
Pack Night: Christmas Party
Santa came to visit all the good boys and girls in Pack 244 and give out candy canes.
The boys received their awards, played a great game and enjoyed holiday treats.[Check out the pictures here]

Christmas Caroling at Central Suffolk Hospital Nursing in Riverhead
With Bill Brennan on guitar, we all sang Christmas Carols and holiday songs to the very
appreciative residents of the hospital.
Wednesday, December 10th, 2003 -
"A Christmas Carol"
We saw the play "A Christmas Carol" at Theatre Three in Port Jefferson Village.
The play was a bit scary for the littlest in our audience, but it was exciting and
enjoyed by most. The great acting by the cast and special effects made for a
fun-filled night. After the play, the children and their parents gathered near the
stage for a question and answer session by the cast. Tommy S. wanted to know how the

Saturday, November 8th, 2003 -
Islanders Hockey Game
We saw the Islanders lose to the Atlanta Thrashers in a good game. It was Pat
Lafontaine night and everyone got a commemorative hockey puck which features a picture of
Lafontaine in his Islanders home #16 Assistant Captain jersey. [Check out the pictures here]
Saturday, November 1st, 2003 - Webelos
Woods Campout
The Sr. Webelos camped overnight with the Boy Scouts from Troop 244. The day's
activities were all about the Boy Scouts teaching the Webelos various skills needed to
suceed in the Boy Scouts. The fall weather couldn't have been better and all the
kids had a great time. [Check out the

Saturday, October 25th, 2003 - Baiting
Halloween Spooky Walk
The boy scouts set up Baiting Hollow Scout Camp for Halloween and we all spent the evening
on a great spooky walk through the camp. [Check

PumpkinFest at the Suffolk County Farm
Beautiful fall weather marked the beginning of Fall at the PumpkinFest. There was

Brook Seawolves Football Game
We had a perfect night at the new stadium to watch Monmouth beat the Seawolves. [Check out the pictures here]

2003 - Pack Car Wash
Thanks to everyone who pitched in and washed cars. We earned $433 to help with this
year's events!
Sunday, September 7th,
2003 - Tides Beach Cleanup & Summer Beach BBQ
Thanks to everyone for collecting 22 bags of garbage, part of a fiberglass
boat, a kitchen sink, a boat trailer tire and rim and a port-o-pottie off Tide's Beach in
Rocky Point. The beach never looked better! We all enjoyed the beautiful
weather, the good food and the anticipation of another great scouting year at our annual
summer beach BBQ.
