We had a great time during the
2003 - 2004 Scouting Year

Boy ScoutsHere are a few of the things that we did...

August 27-29th, 2004 - Hershey Park
We went to Hershey Park for the Boy Scout Wildlife Weekend.  The weather was hot and humid but we saw no rain.  We had the best site in the whole campground thanks to Mike.  Hershey Park was crowded but the boys got in a lot of rides and had a great time.

Pack 244 took an evening fluke fishing trip on the Rosie (located at the Center Moriches Center Yacht Club).  It was a beautiful evening and everyone had a great time.  Many thanks to Jim Armstrong for organizing this event.

May 29nd and June 5th - Memorial Day Flag Placement and Removal at Calverton
The boys participated in the annual flag placement at Calverton National Cemetary honoring all the veterans who gave so much for all of us.  Participating in this event emphasizes the importance of this significant national holiday.

May 21st, 2004 - May Pack Night Moving Up Ceremony
We celebrated the end of another great cub scouting year and had our annual Moving Up Ceremony for all the boys as they advance to the next rank in Cub Scouts.  All the boys and leaders did a great job this year and we look forward to seeing everyone again in September!

Friday, January 23th, 2004 - January Pack Night: Movie Night After rescheduling due to a snow day on the 16th and then overcoming some technical difficulties with the DVD the night of the movie, we finally all saw "Home Alone" and enjoyed popcorn and cotton candy.   Everyone seemed to really enjoy the evening so we'll have to do it again next year.

Friday, December 19th, 2003 - December Pack Night: Christmas Party

Wednesday, December 10th, 2003 - "A Christmas Carol"
We saw the play "A Christmas Carol" at Theatre Three in Port Jefferson Village.   The play was a bit scary for the littlest in our audience, but it was exciting and enjoyed by most.  The great acting by the cast and special effects made for a fun-filled night.  After the play, the children and their parents gathered near the stage for a question and answer session by the cast.  Tommy S. wanted to know how the ghost of Mr. Marley put on his chains.  http://www.theatrethree.com/pages/1/index.htm
