Here are a few of the things that we did...
August 22-24th, 2003 - Hershey Park
We went to Hershey Park for the Boy Scout Wildlife
Weekend. The weather was perfect and we had a great site next to the creek thanks to
the Myslinski's R/V that never made it. Hershey Park was crowded but the boys got in
a lot of rides and had a great time.
Tuesday, August 5th, 2003 - Splish
Splash
We went to Splish Splash in Riverhead on a cloudy
but hot day. The lines were short and everyone had a great time.
Sunday, July 27th, 2003 - NY Mets Game
We saw the struggling NY Mets lose to the Cinncinati
Reds by a score of 8 to 5. We had our annual pre-game tailgate party and the kids
also got to do the "DynaMets Dash" (run around the bases) at the end of the
game. Everybody got a promotional Bob Murphy/Ralph Kiner Bobblehead and Bob Murphy
announced his retirement.
June 29th, 2003 - The Rosie
Fishing Trip
We had 37 people show up for a
beautiful night in Moriches Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The fish didn't cooperate
but everyone seemed to have a fun time. The final count was pretty sad with only
Shawn Lopez and David Longman going home with a one keeper fluke each. Two black sea
bass, one caught by Zachary F., also made the minimum size limit of 11.5 inches and were
taken home. Next year we've decided to call this a whale watching trip. See pictures here.
June 18th, 2003 - DEC
Fishing Clinic
Chart Guthrie, Greg Kozlowski, Fred Henson and Mike DiMarco of the NYSDEC Freshwater
Fisheries unit did a fantastic job of educating everyone on the finer points of freshwater
fishing. Then all the boys grabbed a rob and caught a bunch of pumpjkinseed sunfish
and a few yellow perch.
June 13-16th, 2003 - Family Camping at
Baiting Hollow
Unfortunately, the endless rain
we've gotten this spring resulted in the family campout being cancelled. We'll try
to do it again soon.
June 8th, 2003 - Bronx Zoo
The rainy spring weather held out for the day and we had a really good time at the zoo.
Everyone was treated to some wonderful, up close and personal views of all the
exotic animals.
May 10th, 2003 - Car Wash
The car wash was a hugh success earning the pack $415.
Thanks to everyone who helped out.
May 2nd, 2003 - April Pack Night
The theme for April was "Land of the
Pharaohs" and our fun game had two boys making a mummy out of a third.
Everyone judged the best mummy and prizes were awarded.

3. For a game recap check out the Islanders site here.

the pack just as a donation! The kids had fun and the pack had a good start to our
annual fundraiser.

Sunday, September 22nd,
2002 - Tides Beach Cleanup
All the boys cheerfully volunteered
their time and muscles to our annual community service event, the American Littoral Society's 16th Annual
