Pack Night
December 15, 2000
"What do you do at Holiday Time"

"The boys continued to work on crafts, activities and even tried to learn a few things as they try to earn badges and awards.   The monthly theme reminds us to think about the traditions and events that make up our oun personal holiday experience.  As a group we have also developed certain traditions, whether it is making ornaments, working on our "parent present", or the community tree lighting.  However, the group tradition which had the most profound effect on myself and the boys was the Christmas caroling we did this past week.   This was one time where the smiles of the audience were brighter than the boys and girls who participated.  We looked out at the residents and saw them singing along, either remembering holidays past or family members not present.  I HOPE every boy remembers this and tries to make something like this part of their special traditions.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR from the leader of the Pack"
